Strong community ties were reinforced at an early age with St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, O Henry Middle School and Austin High School. She obtained a BS degree from Louisiana State University in Elementary Education and a LMSW from the University of Texas.

In Anna’s personal life, her and her husband Matthew live in central Austin with their two daughters. They established and own the nationally acclaimed Teo Gelato and Espresso and enjoy time with friends and family.
